GuineaMissionary Profiles Reverend Gwendolyn Traore
Reverend Gwendolyn Traore has served as a Missionary with the Foreign Mission Board since 1971. She has worked on our mission stations in Liberia and Guinea. Rev. Traore has been serving on our National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc. Christian Service Center in Conakry, Guinea since 1990.
Rev. Gwen Traore supervises our mission work in Guinea. Services include evangelism, ministry for all ages, adult literacy programs, children’s Bible clubs and a health center.
Gwen Traore earned a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education from Cheney University in Pennsylvania. She also attended the Interdenominational Theological Center of the Morehouse School of Religion in Atlanta, Georgia where she earned a Masters degree in Religious Education. In addition, Rev. Traore is a graduate of the Hahnemann University Physician’s Assistant Program in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Rev. Traore was ordained to preach the gospel in 1976 at the Pinn Memorial Baptist Church in Philadelphia, PA by the Reverend Frank Mitchell.
Mrs. Traore is a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She met and married her husband, Mr. Musa Traore, while serving on the mission field. They have two married adult daughters and two grandchildren. Gwendolyn’s birthday is May 19th. | | Missionaries
